Classic Mountain Biking Tour

A ride up to the highest peak of Corfu (approx. 900m. from the sea level). Half way to the top we pass through the hillside villages Spartilas and Strinilas, which are unique examples of classic Corfiot architecture.  During the entire tour you will admire the panoramic views, down and several kilometers far away over the island or across to nearby Albania. Pantokrators’ rocky landscape and alpine tracks make it an ideal destination for MTB. The climate up there is never too hot, even in the middle of July.  Moving downhills’ is pure fun; however it requires some extra effort and attention due to the steepness of the trails. Last kilometers are rather relaxing, as we follow the main coastal road.

Halfway through the cliffs, the road will bring us to a mysterious and abandoned settlement, where the nature has defeated time.

Walks and Sightseeing

A walk in Corfu Town with someone from there is the best way to get the most out of it. Participants will have more time to see several historic buildings, to visit the beautiful St.Spyridon church as well as to walk around the narrow lanes of the Old Town and in the Jewish Quarter.

Alternatively, take a short break from the busy Corfu and come for a walk in a mysterious islet, inside a quiet pine-tree forest, around fortification ruins and deep in the forgotten past. Only a few people know the amazing history of this little islet and even less are aware of what happened there...

Winter in Attica

During the winter months, GEO bicycling and more will be situated in Athens, organising bicycle tours in Parnitha and Tatoi. Parnitha is a densely forested mountain range north of Athens, with an elevation of about 1,400 m. that makes it an ideal destination for MTB and downhill. Tatoi is the southeast-facing slope of Mount Parnitha and the former summer estate of the Greek royal family (the region belongs nowadays to the Greek state). It is a fairy-tale destination only 27 km. away from Athens, where you can enjoy a ride or a walk inside the pine-tree forest and around the abandoned stone buildings. Both locations are designated as national parks and protected habitats for many unique Greek flora and fauna species.
