The route passes from the back side of the New Fortress, through the coastal boulevard of Garitsa and Paleopolis and up to the two most famous landmarks of Corfu: Vlacherna Monastery and the little green islet of “Pontikonisi” (Mouse-Island). Then it continues passing by the former royal estate and gardens of “Mon Repos”, towards the historic Old Town, with a short visit to the famous Spianada Square, the elegant Liston building complex and the Old Palace. After a walk in the cobblestone alleys and a coffee break, the route descends slowly through the St. Georges arch, via the romantic seafront lane of “Mouragia” and up to the Jewish Quarter.
